Welcome to this online research focused on the attitude toward spiders and bugs and the
emotions they elicit. On the following pages, you will find three short
questionnaires and a set of pictures to be scored according to disgust and fear the animals may elicit in you. Completing the entire test battery should not take you more than
20 minutes.

Data from the survey are processed anonymously and will be used solely for scientific
purposes. If you decide to provide us with your e-mail address, we will be able to invite you into follow-up studies. Cooperation from your side is completely voluntary and can be
stopped any time by closing the browser. For a proper data evaluation, it is
very important that you answer every question, so please do not skip
individual items. There are no right or wrong answers. Do not think about
the items for a long time, the best answer is usually the one that comes
first to your mind. If you can not decide between multiple answers always
incline to the one that applies more (in most cases).
